Gun Sales Continue to Soar Despite Obama

People are out buying guns at record paces because they want to exercise their 2nd Amendment right and put fear into the government. The only way a democracy can succeed is if the the government fears the people, which is the precise reason why we have the Bill of Rights in the constitution.

The initial rush for firearms was the fear that Obama will push for stricter gun bans and raise ammunition taxes. Now the rush for guns is to take back our country and demonstrate to our the stubborn and incompetent elected leaders that we as the American people mean business and that we will not tolerate a government usurping our power.

People are buying as many weapons and as much ammo as they can afford, and rightly so. The Constitution is what makes are nation great, and the people are just showing their support of our country and Constitution (not the support of liberal socialist leaders).

On a satirical note, here is a thought on how Barack Hussein Obama can turn around the economy and solve the entire economic crisis: have him use his “common sense” control of the auto industry (as he declared his “common sense” gun control) since automobiles kill more people than guns. Then you will see droves of people scampering to buy up automobiles. And abracadabra; the big 3 are sitting fat again.

2nd Amendment Still an Individual Right

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Thursday that a sweeping ban on handguns in the nation’s capital violated the Second Amendment right to bear arms. The justices struck down the ban in a 5-4 decision, with Justice Antonin Scalia writing the opinion for the majority.

The majority opinion (Scalia, Thomas, Alito, Roberts and Kennedy) stated what we already know: The Constitution provides certain rights to individuals, one of those being the right to keep and bear arms.

It is a bloody shame that the other four judges (Breyer, Ginsburg, Souter, and Stevens) do not even know their own Constitution. How in the hell did they ever get to the position of a supreme court justice.

The issue is whether the 2nd amendment applies to individuals or to militia (government). Use some common sense here people. How can the militia (government) have their right to keep and bear arms infringed by the government???

Supposedly, the supreme court had not conclusively interpreted the Second Amendment since its ratification in 1791. The amendment reads: “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

This is a court decision that should have been unamimous 9-0. But no, we have justices on the supreme court who want to make new laws that contradict the Constitution. What is next, the 1st amendment does not really mean that we have free speech??? Give me a break! These justices obviously have a loss of memory. The American Revolution was where armed citizens fought a tyrannical government and gun confiscation. If these justices keep up with their mis-interpretation of the Constitution, another revolution is what will take place.
